Summary background of the organization
Pizzazz has positioned itself uniquely in that it addresses an underserved age group of 9-13 so they may enter a new phase in their lives with more confidence. It provides a combination of traditional tutoring with character development dance exercises.

Obstacles

This group needed communication tools of all kinds, as it was currently reaching out through photocopied fliers that did not express the spirit of the group.

Design Response
The steps and solution taken by the CreateAThon design team

The design team sele cted a palette of vibrant colors and accentuated the designs with a movement-oriented graphic and new logo. In addition, photos of students in the midst of a dance were featured in the designs. A logo, brochure, letterhead, business card and poster were designed to begin more effective communication efforts and gain new attention with existing audiences.

The consultant worked with the client to assess sources of funding and target audiences to determine how best to focus and prioritize communications for a single, consistent message. The team worked together to identify key descriptors and phrases to more clearly communicate the organization’s mission and programs. In addition, the consultant analyzed underlying systems and provided recommendations to enable a more sustainable organization in the future.
