Critical Exposure

Situation
Summary background of the organization
Low-income middle and highschool students benefit from Critical Exposure as they document conditions in their schools and become advocates for school reform.  The students’ photos are displayed in local traveling exhibits as a way to engage the public as well as local officials.

Obstacles
The communication challenges faced
They focus on reaching out to a number of audiences ranging from individual children to corporations---a tricky combination when trying to communicate to them and everyone in between on a limited budget.

Design Response
The steps and solution taken by the CreateAThon design team

The team created an informational brochure that used colors that were bold, but not patriotic, featured images of children to draw the audiences in, and featured a new logo.  Business cards, mailing labels, and letterhead was created to elevate the overall look of the group and to stimulate funding opportunities.
